This and That

So I have started walking outside again. I usually do a fast pace walk of about 2.5-6 miles 3-4 times a week. I think this will really help me feel better about the weight gain. If I am walking and still gaining weight then it was just meant to be. But at least I know I am doing something about it and not just sitting on my butt everyday like I had been lol I plan to walk today if this headache goes away....

Speaking of headaches they suck. Before being pregnant I would get headaches often but would be able to take advil or excedrin to get rid of them. Or at the last resort sleep got rid of them. But now they have been worse and are considered bad migraines that I get every day. I can't remember the last day where I haven't had one even if it was a small one. Tylenol does nothing for me:( So I mentioned this to my doc and she prescribed me a pain pill with codine in it. After about a week of taking them and today even uping my dose a little I have come to realize that they don't help either lol So I am pretty much screwed. I will just have to continue drinking Dr. Pepper when I get one to make them go away. And the bad ones that Dr. Pepper has no affect on will just suck lol I will just come to terms that I skipped out on the morning sickness and got migraines unstead. The only times I have thrown up is when the migraines get so bad that they cause me to throw up.

On a better not I am thinking of getting my hair changed this coming up weekend. I used to have bangs a couple years ago and then got tired of them and grew them out. I had long hair before my wedding and then cut it shoulder length right after. I love my hair long! So does my husband. And I was working on growing it back out. But, since it is already short I was thinking of doing this style:

What do ya think? Grow it out long or cut a couple inches and get bangs? No matter what I am putting some more blonde highlights in my hair. Guess we will see come Saturday:)

13 WEEKS! 2ND TRIMESTER:)

How far along? 13 Weeks!
Weight gain/loss: +13 lbs Well looks like I am still on track to gain a pound a week (insert eye roll here) UGH, I guess I just have to freaking deal with it. I even walked 3 more days this week after work. A total of about 9 miles. I plan to keep it up.
Maternity clothes? Yep, got to fit the new bigger me into them lol
Stretch marks? No
Sleep? A nap everyday would be awesome.
Best moment this week? Had my NT scan on Monday and got to see our little baby:) It was moving around and standing on its head for us lol It was amazing to see it actually looked like a little baby:)
Food cravings: Chick-fil-a's cool wrap with ranch.mmmmmmm
Gender: 6-7 more weeks till we find out. But once again I am thinking boy again.
Belly button in or out? In
Movement? None yet
What I miss? Being able to take advil or excedrin for my headaches.
What I'm looking forward to: I think my friend and I are going to start painting the babys room this weekend:)
Milestones: 13 weeks mean I am now in my 2nd trimester!!!! woohoo!

Baby This Week:

Your baby can make a fist and even suck his or her thumb this week—both skills that are über-cute during infancy ... and not so much at the age of 9.

Your baby's eyelids are fused shut to protect his eyes as they develop. His bones and skull are solidifying and soon itsy-bitsy ribs may appear. Baby's intestines are finally right where you want them—in his or her belly instead of poking out into the umbilical cord. Baby's tooth sockets are all loaded and ready to pop out baby teeth six or seven months after baby is born.

His vocal cords and larynx are completed now.

Your baby-to-be now weighs about 20 grams and is nearly 3 inches long.

12 WEEKS TODAY!!

How far along? 12 Weeks!
Weight gain/loss: +9 lbs I walked once last week for 2 miles and I need to start up my walking again. It makes me feel better but getting started again is so hard lol I mean its no wonder I have gained weight with as much as Ive been eating. Plus I've added an extra 300-500 calories a day in just Dr. Pepper. Since I can't take advil it is the only thing that gets rid of my headaches. I'm going to askt he doc on Monday if there is anything else they can give me.
Maternity clothes? Yep, and I bought some bigger scrubs to wear to work also.
Stretch marks? Haven't seen any new ones.
Sleep? Still sleeping good:) With tons of crazy dreams!
Best moment this week? We went to the rodeo twice this last week. First time was to see Gary Allan and the second time was to see Kid Rock. He put on a BAD ASS show!!! It was really good;) The Houston Rodeo is a really big thing down here. I also got Tuesday off to lounge at home and do absolutely nothing which was really nice!
Food cravings: None that I can really think of....At the carnival at the rodeo I really wanted a pickle...it was good too:)
Gender: 2 more months till we find out:) Probably around mid May.
Belly button in or out? In
Movement? None yet
What I miss? Having the energy and desire to go walking after work.
What I'm looking forward to: Well our Monday appointments of course!! We have our NT scan Monday morning and then our 12 week appt monday afternoon. So that means we both have the day off from work!
Milestones: 12 weeks is a big milestone for me!!

Baby this week:

Baby's face is looking more human as his eyes have moved to the front of his head and his ears are in place. Other amazing fetal highlights this week:

Your baby is able to swallow this week and practices on the amniotic fluid he or she floats in. And in case you're wondering how your kid can breathe in all that fluid, here's your answer: Fetuses get oxygen from the blood pumped into their bodies by the placenta and don't breathe with their lungs.

Your baby's intestines are well under way, but they aren't all where you'd expect them to be. Instead of all being locked away in the body cavity, some are dangling on the outside, in the umbilical cord.

Your little nugget's finger- and toenails are forming this week. The chin and nose are also becoming more defined.

Junior has doubled in size over the past two weeks and now weighs almost ½ ounce. He's also now around 2 ½ inches long, about the length of your pinky finger.

11 Weeks

How far along? 11 Weeks!
Weight gain/loss: +9 lbs wow, that is extremely depressing. extremely.
Maternity clothes? Yep, when I'm not wearing scrubs.
Stretch marks? Haven't seen any new ones.
Sleep? Yep! I love to fall asleep around 9 now because I feel so much more refreshed in the morning;)
Best moment this week? Not really sure....I get to hear the heartbeat each night so that is pretty amazing!
Food cravings: I was really craving that new fish sandwich from sonic with cheese and mustartd (no tarter sauce)..And man it was amazing lol My husband thought it sounded gross as hell but I loved it:) Oh, and I don't think I have ever eaten a fish sandwich before in my life. NOt a big fish person.
Gender: Dh really wants a boy to carry on his last name. He used to have 2 younger brothers but they died about 17 years ago so he feels it is up to him to carry on the name.
Belly button in or out? In
Movement? no, but I can't wait!
What I miss? I don't really miss anything...but if I had to pick then once again I would go with wine. What can I say I love my wine lol But I am perfectly fine without it for now;)
What I'm looking forward to: We are going to the rodeo tomorrow to see Gary Allen and then monday night we are going to the rodeo to see Kid Rock!!
Milestones: All babys vital organs are now formed and functioning:)

Baby this week:

Baby's ears are assuming their proper place this week and the fingernail and toenail beds are beginning to form. Your little "pumpkin head" really lives up to his nickname as his head is nearly as big as the rest of his body.
While testes or ovaries are completely formed now. You won't be able to see your baby's gender for a few more weeks yet.
Your baby is really on the move now. In an ultrasound you might be able to see your little acrobat flailing his or her arms and legs and doing somersaults worthy of Cirque du Soleil. In the next nine weeks, your baby will increase 30 times in weight and almost triple in length. Your baby now weighs a third of an ounce, about the same as two small, Starbucks-sized packets of sugar, is about 2 inches long, the length of one of those sugar packets.

10 Weeks!

How far along? 10 Weeks!
Weight gain/loss: +8lbs
Maternity clothes? I added a pair of maternity jeans to my wardrobe. Pretty comfy;)
Stretch marks? Nope
Sleep? I fell asleep about 8:30 the past two night and it was awesome! I slept good and woke up early without feeling tired!
Best moment this week? I got my home doppler yesterday and was able to hear the heartbeat!! It was amazing:) It took me awhile to find it each time but I did. It was in the high 170's:) And we told everyone I was pregnant. My work now knows and we put it on facebook. Anybody that knows me, knows that I am a HUGE Lucille Ball fan:) so I put the part of the I love lucy show where lucy tells ricky that she is expecting on fb for people to figure it out. Most got the hint lol
Food cravings: still enjoying some chef boy rd ravioli. lol
Gender: I think it is a girl, DH doesn't say what he thinks it is.
Belly button in or out? In
Movement? no
What I miss? Wine. Especially when I go to an italian restaurant!
What I'm looking forward to: Going out with friends tonight and not having to hide my pregnancy from some people.
Milestones: Hearing baby's heartbeat!

Baby this week:

Your baby has finally morphed from a little tadpole into, well, a baby. Not only is the face more human-like, but that unflattering "tail" (really just the developing spinal cord) has disappeared, fusing into the spinal column.

Your baby now has discernible fingers and toes, which will explain the steady stream of kicks and punches you'll feel down the line.

Junior's skeleton is starting to grow and harden. The ears are beginning to take shape and the eyelids are no longer transparent. Tooth buds are forming, although your baby won't get any teeth until six or seven (or eight or nine or 10) months after birth.

Baby's brain will make an incredible 25,000 new neurons every minute this week. While you may feel like you're losing as many as he's gaining, we can assure you it's not permanent. "Pregnancy brain," like nausea and bloating, is a temporary symptom that soon shall pass.

If you're baby is a boy, he's started producing that macho hormone testosterone. And whether your baby is a boy or a girl, the kidneys are creating copious amounts of urine.

Baby weighs only 4 grams and measures 1½ inches, about the size of a mondo Brazil nut.

What baby looks like:
