DIY projects

I have been doing a lot of DIY stuff for Maddy. I have always loved doing crafty stuff so its right up my alley. I will post pictures of her nursery when I am completely finished with it (most likely wont be until after my shower at 30 weeks). But I will post some of my DIY stuff from her nursery in here:) First I put up the tree decal in the corner of her room. It came in like 100+ pieces and was a real pain in the neck to put up, but I think it was so worth it and makes the room awesome...

The next thing I wanted to do was put a wall quote up that would go with her disney pictures kinda...I found a quote that I loved but didn't want to spend the money on something that I thought I could make myslef. (I already spent way to much freaking money ordering that tree decal because I knew I wouldn't be able to make that). So I ordered some pink adhesive vinyl and used my cricut machine to cut out all the letters and stars. Then I placed it on the wall:) It is way way way bigger then I originally planned but I still think it looks good.



I aldo made the M that is on her closet door there in the last picture and the princess crown that is in this pic...


So since I have so much wall decal stuff I wanted to do block letters for her name over the crib. Originally I wanted to do a decal, but I think now it would be way to much. So I looked on the net for block letters that I like but it was just to much to order. So yesterday I went to hobby lobby and found all the letters 40% off! So all the letters, paint, and glitter for them only cost me about $20. So that will be my next project anc I can't wait to see how it turns out:)

I am also big on all things girly. I love tutus and headbands etc. But Once again not the prices on them lol So I made her some headbands last night! They turned out great. Bought all the feathers, flowers, beads, and actual band part seperately and pieced them together. I am sure I will make more since she needs one in every color:P Plus it is way cheaper to make then buy one of these...


I've started making some onesies for her too. Only got two done so far...The 88 is a Dale Earnhardt Jr. onesie. My DH is a big nascar person and Earnhardt Jr is his fav racer. I am sure Maddy will watch plenty of nascar and football with her daddy:) But all nascar stuff is crazy expensive so I used my cricut to cut out this felt and added it to her onesie...May try to girl it up with a cute green headband or something. I also plan to make a ford/chevy house divided type of onesie so we will see how that turns out...

I am getting tired of answering the same questions each week so I am going to lay off the survey thing and just to it every now and then. I still post a recent belly pic on my belly pic page though if anybody is interested.

On a different note:) I felt Maddy kick or hiccup today:) I think I have been feeling her for the past week but it was nothing consistent and that made me second guess myself. But today I had my hang on my belly and I for sure felt it move! Really exciting...Can't wait for it to be more consistent and for the hubby to feel.

Baby girl has a name;)

Yep thats right my DH and I decided on a name last night. Baby girl will be Madilyn Mae R. This has been my top choice for the past week since I thought of the name. He never gave me any opinions on names, just vetoed the ones he disliked. But we had 3 on the list that he didn't get rid of and he finally picked. He asked which one was my fav and I said Madilyn and he said Okay name her that lol I think I asked him if he was sure like 10 times because I didn't want him settling just because I kept bugging him to decide;P But I don't think he would agree to a name just to get me to stop talking about it. Luckily everyone we have told actually likes the name. I was worried about my MIL liking it, but she said she loves it which is a weight off my shoulder. I wouldn't have changed it or anything, but its nice when everyone actually like the name. I was a happy girl last night!

20 Weeks! Half Baked:)

How far along? 20 Weeks!
Weight gain/loss: Gain of......22lbs sigh
Maternity clothes? Yes
Stretch marks? No
Sleep? Usually I can go to sleep very easily at night unless I take a nap during the day...then I am sol at night time.
Food cravings: Brandon took me to get a baskin robbins brownie fudge sunday this past weekend. It was freaking awesome:)
Movement? Still feeling bubbles that tickle...I am not sure if I feel her move when I lay down or if it is something else.
Gender: Girl!!...Still trying to decide on names. Right now the top contendors are Madilyn (Maddy), Hailey, and Leah.
Belly button in or out? In
What I miss? Being able to tan.
What I'm looking forward toNot much really going on this week. May go see "Bridesmaids" with a friend which looks funny.


So I had my 20week doctors appointment this past Friday and everything went good like usual. She told me the results to my A/S and said baby girl looked good. She weighed 12oz at 19 weeks. I guess when all her measurments were added up she measured above the 90th percentile! Big baby lol So that means I get to have a growth ultrasound around 32 weeks to see how big she is! I am really excited about this because at the beginning my doc told me that we would only get one at 8 weeks to date my pregnancy and then my A/S and that was it. Now I get to see her again:) Can't wait! And we better have a name for her way before then lol

19 Weeks

How far along? 19 Weeks!
Weight gain/loss: Gain...Haven't been on the scale in 2 weeks
Maternity clothes? Yes
Stretch marks? No
Sleep? Still Love sleep but I am not able to sleep in past 9:30 on the weekends which sucks...
Food cravings: Still Nothing really
Movement? Still feeling bubbles that tickle...no definite kicks or punches yet.
Gender: Girl!!
Belly button in or out? In
What I miss? Can't really think of anyting that I miss right now...
What I'm looking forward to: Mom and I are going to babies r us this coming up weekend to register for my baby shower;)

Super excited:) I was completely shocked when the tech said it was a girl! I cried I was so happy lol It makes it more real now knowing that this baby is a girl. I can't wait to figure out a name for her! Only problem is my husband doesn't like any names that I like. and I he hasn't really thrown out any ideas of names that he like! Pretty frustrating lol He has vetoed my whole baby girl name list that I had. UGH! This is going to take awhile...Here she is...beautiful...


Definetely a girl! I asked the tech how sure she was and she said 99.9% sure lol She said its either a girl or a boy with the smallest penis ever lol My husband was all "It's a girl" :) I love her so much already its crazy...
